Scite just started a collaboration with the Journal of the World Aquaculture Society (JWAS). To celebrate the Journal’s 50th anniversary, Scite will produce a graphical abstract for the Editor’s Choice Award for each issue.
JWAS has been going through a reinvigoration process over the last several years that has resulted in a notable increase in its impact factor. JWAS seeks manuscripts related to all aspects of ecologically, socially and economically sustainable production of all aquatic species worldwide.
Most journals are increasingly promoting graphical abstracts, which is a visual summary of the main findings of the article. However, authors don’t often have the time (or skills) for crunching their findings into a single image. It is also important to note that authors are scientists and not communication designers. This is why Scite started this collaboration with JWAS. As Science Crunchers, Scite aims to improve the dissemination of articles that make a substantive contribution to the aquaculture scientific literature.
